So you know how in old steam heat buildings when the heat kicks on there is a thunking sound as stuff goes through the pipes? Well, there is this pipe in the apartment right below mine that is SO loud that it woke me out of a dead sleep yesterday. I don't know how those people can stand it. I'm just especially happy that it doesn't come all the way up through my apartment!
F%&$# ing Dallas!
Well, the Pack lost to Dallas last night. BOOO Dallas. Brett Favre got hurt (although not seriously) and Dallas was Dallas. Watching it with my packer backer friends though so that is always a good time. This weekend, my friend Ray from the UK will be in town, he's a lot of fun so I'm excited for that!

Cleared!!
So I finally paid off my last 333 %$#%$%ing dollars of my fine resulting from my excursion to hoboken on St. Patty's day (in case you forgot: http://mt-nyc.blogspot.com/2007/03/welcome-to-hoboken.html). I mailed this one in, if only because it had been 5 months since i made a payment, and I wouldn't be surprised if there was an arrest warrant out for me for failure to pay. ;) Now that I'm paid in full, I will never again give the city of Hoboken another red cent.
Birthday!!
Yesterday was my Dad's birthday! Now, he's not an avid blog reader, but I want to make sure I give him the proper shout outs all the same! Sounds like he had a great, chilly birthday in Missoula. Happy birthday, Dad! xoxo

Ok, Ok, fine
So my turkey day turned out to be really great. Unfortunately I was sick, so that was a bummer, but I ended up spending some time with a new guy that I was introduced to a few months ago (the most highly anticipated date in history). Sorry, but I'm not going to give details in a public forum, but I will say that he was in town from Wednesday-Friday and it was really good to spend some time with him. He came with me to thanksgiving and my friends all liked him. So there's nothing official, but I definitely hope he comes back for another visit. :)

Thanksgiving plans
What is everyone up to for Thanksgiving? I'll be here in NY. MY friends Will and Krista invited me to their house. Krista is an AMAZING cook, and they have a cutie pie 2 year old named Wyatt who is fun to hang with too. So that should be fun. I might check out the parade cause I've never seen it before. Who knows, I'll have 4 days off. Love it!!

Day off
I have the day off today, Veteran's Day holiday. I'm hanging around my apartment, probably go to the gym and then I have to stop by the office. yeah, I know, I shouldn't go in but sometimes people need things FAXED. HELLO people, we're in 2007, let's not fax things anymore!!
Anyway, hope everyone had a great weekend!

oh and PS
After spending a week with the LA/European film elite, I am now hipper than hip. I smoke 2 packs of skinny brown cigarettes a day, talk with an exotic accent, wear my sunglasses inside and outside, night and day and scoff at those of you who watch hollywood blockbusters. I'm as indie as they get now.
LA
I've been in LA for the past 2 weeks, apologies for the lack of blog postings. I've been working at 2 different conferences, one for films and one for the digital media world. They've both been very successful but being 'on' for 2 weeks straight is hard. I also went to Las Vegas with Kate and our friend Max for my birthday celebration last weekend. That was a great time. We stayed at the Palms, rented a cabana, had a great dinner and played the penny slots until the wee hours of the morning. I love Vegas. I've been staying with kate which is great, since we're both working, we get to spend time together after work. I love it.
I went to a very interesting hollywood hills houseparty over the weekend. there were film people there from all over the world, Israel, Germany, Norway, Morocco, France, Italy, Russia. I felt boring being from the US! It was cool.
I'm headed back to NY and normal life on Thursday. It's been a great trip, but I miss NY, I'm ready to be back there.
I hope I haven't lost readers for good!! :)
Oh, and by the way, the day before I left for LA, we had the dodgeball playoffs. I didn't dislocate any digits this time but we were eliminated in about 45 seconds. Not a very good showing by the Ball Busters but a fabulously fun season!!
