Girls weekend

SO just wanted to give a little recap of the fun girls weekend I had with Julia this weekend! She got here thursday on the bus, just in time for a late dinner. Then Friday she went to two different museums, and we went to a play. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. SO much fun. Unfortunately it's closing this month, but it was really cute. Then we hit Mario Batali's restaurant Otto for some pizza, pasta and olive oil gelato (I know it sounds weird but it's SOOOO good). Saturday we got manicures, found me a dress to wear to the wedding in the bahamas (gotta look my best, got a date for it now) and then watched the Pack annihilate the Seahawks!! So fun! Ordered thai food in when we got home and fell asleep early. What a day!
Sunday we had brunch with my friend Allie, walked down to the WTC site and back to my apartment (about 4.5 miles). Then we had ethiopian food. If you've never had it, I HIGHLY recommend it. It's very different but super good! Then we saw Juno, and Monday morning, I headed to work, and she headed back home. SUCH a fun trip! Thanks for coming Hools!!!

GO PACK GO!

Can you believe the luck of the Pack this weekend!? First a snowstorm essentially shuts down the Seahawks (who, as my friend Brian said, looked like they sent their pee wee team anyway) and then the Giants have their way with a distracted-by-jessica-simpson Cowboys team! Meaning, that instead of having to play the cowboys at home (where his holiness - that's brett favre for those of you who weren't sure - has an 0-9 record) they get to play the Giants (whom they've already beaten) at Lambeau field in Green Bay! Anyone still questioning the choice of sportsman of the year???

crazy weather

So I remember the last 2 winters, there was this freakish week, right before the RIDICULOUS cold hit where it was 60 degrees. Well, today it was 57 and tomorrow, supposed to be 62. Get ready NY, subzero temperatures are on the way!

good happy

So I'm feeling awfully good these days. My mom and sis are both set to hit the Bahamas with me at the end of the month, and it's going to be really great. Happy fun times for my friends megan and hugh who are getting married and great girl bonding time!

My friend Julia is coming up to NY this weekend for a girls weekend and I'm SO excited! She gets here Thursday night, and we're going to get manicures, do some shopping, eat some great food, watch the Packers play the Seahawks (she's from Seattle but really not much of a fan so we'll let her watch the game with us) and just hang out. We'll miss Brian (her husband) but I"m really excited for some girl time!

I'm happy about someone I've been seeing a bit recently too. Same person as the most highly anticipated date in history. Sorry, I'm not ready for full disclosure, but it's good, and fun, and I will share more soon. Promise. :)

Happy New Year

Hope everyone's new year celebration was awesome. Mine, was slightly less than stellar, but interesting. I flew back from LA on New Year's Eve and left at 3pm. So my flight landed at 11pm. Got my bag and got on the NJ Transit train back to the city. I caught the train at about 11:50 which put me right about Secaucus, NJ when the clock struck midnight. It was me and about 100 of my closest bridge and tunnel friends (definition for those not familiar with bridge and tunnel: people who live in NJ and either take the bridges or tunnels into NY to work or hang out. Often loathed by New Yorkers.) Anyway, I'm sick, and was then, and I'd been traveling for 3 days straight, so as they were walking through the car hooting, hollering and high fiving, I just wanted to get the hell out. But it was pretty amusing. What a ridiculous place to be!
This year, I resolve to be the best dodgeball player I can be. And to not get sunburned on my 8 day excursion to the bahamas. Any other good resolutions out there?
