Go Gonzaga
For anyone who didn't happen to catch the game on Wednesday, Gonzaga beat North Carolina, #2 in the nation. Today's game didn't go so well, but we don't have to talk about that.
Happy Thanksgiving from Green Bay!
Just got back to Minneapolis after a lovely few days in Green Bay for Thanksgiving. My grandparents live there so I flew to Minneapolis and drove with my Tia Nancita and Unk Bill to Green Bay. It was about a four hour drive, during which we googled a number of Wisconsin towns and learned many varied and interesting facts about central Wisconsin. On Thanksgiving we had a pre-made meal from a grocery store, only prep required was to make sure it got in the oven on time. Aunt Nancy was in charge of that and she was SPOT ON. We ate around 2, went for a walk and then my Uncle Jim, Aunt Carole, cousins Brian and Lisa and Lisa's new boyf joined us for dessert. The hotel we were staying at, the Green Bay Howard Johnson (which was voted top Howard Johnson in the COUNTRY last year!) had all sorts of AWESOME games. We played 2 games of mini golf, 6 games of ping pong, 1 game of darts and 1 game of foosball. I kicked serious butt at the darts. Then this morning we got up and went to Lambeau Field and took the tour of the stadium and hall of fame. It was WAY fun. What a neat stadium. After that we hit the road and we're back in Minneapolis.
Thanks to all for a great Thanksgiving!

marching band
I'm sitting in my office on the 25th floor right now listening to a marching band playing from the street. It is CRYSTAL CLEAR. I can't even imagine how loud it is down on the street.
By the way-the tree arrived late last week. It always looks so scraggly and pathetic when it first gets here and then they fill it out and decorate it and transform it to the beautiful landmark we all enjoy. Interesting to watch it in progress though.

American Airlines documentary
If you get a chance, check out the documentary about American Airlines that has been running on CNBC. I'm really interested in airlines, but even for someone who isn't, it's really interesting. It's called Inside American Airlines: A week in the life.

New York Energy
This is hard to fully articulate, but sometimes when I'm feeling drained, I just go walk around in the city. We've all heard it said that New York has an "energy" and it's true, spend enough time in it and it just fills you. I think for someone who doesn't love the city, the energy might drown you, but I love it, and after an hour of just walking around, i am rejuvenated.
New York Times update
it didnt run today...they promise it will tomorrow. Should be in the election coverage section. Enjoy!

New York Times
Make sure and pick up a copy of Monday's NY Times. For the last 3 days I've been working with 2 reporters on a story about the mid term election offerings of the different news organizations on the Internet. Story by Bill Carter and Jacques Steinberg...it should turn out well. Just a heads up.
